Weighing less than 25g with the tail longer than head / Body; they have large ears with a pointed snout. Their droppings are scattered, thin, rice shaped. They commonly climb, live in insulated nest below hedgerows, gnaws daily and live indoors and outdoors. They are almost unknown in sewers.
